With so much nutrition and wellness information out there, it’s no wonder so many of us feel confused about how to truly care for our bodies. Many of us have been impacted by years of diet mentality and weight cycling, leading to constant thoughts and sometimes obsessions about losing weight or fixing our bodies.

When does it ever stop?

The beautiful truth is: there is another way.

Healing your relationship with food and your body is possible without another meal plan, without the latest wellness trend, without “starting again on Monday,” and without the shame and guilt that so often follows.

Join I AM Healing practitioner Lou Heta, a dietitian of 20 years and founder of Relinquish, for a nourishing morning tea as she gently shares how reconnecting with your body and understanding your personal body image timeline can support freedom from diet culture and body shame. 

This session is about coming home to your body and learning to nourish it in a way that aligns with your deeper values.

In this session, you’ll explore:
• How the non-diet approach and Health At Every Size® model are used in dietetic counselling and are supported by evidence to achieve positive health outcomes

• Gaining a deeper understanding of yourself through the body image timeline, connecting life events and relationships with current beliefs around food and body image

• Mindful eating, including a gentle, guided mindful eating activity to help you reconnect with your body’s natural wisdom and cues

Sonia, founder of I AM Healing Gifts, will also share her personal experience of working with Lou and the impact it has had on her relationship with food and her body.
